2003
Sponsored the publication and wrote the Foreword for The Boss Murphy Musical Legacy; Irish music from the Churchtown area of North Cork. Edited by Colette Moloney. This book includes 258 fiddle tunes collected by John ‘Boss’ Murphy (1875-1955), biographical note and an account of musical life in the Churchtown area during the first half of the twentieth century. Physical description: 1 score (xviii p., 166 p. of music) : facs, ports, ill., map ; 30 cm. The book was published by the Churchtown Village Renewal Trust; a registered charity founded by Gerry in 1997. This book is available to download free from this website.  A 15 track CD / album based in this book will be launched in 2019 by the triple All Ireland winning Shandrum Ceili Band.

2005
Wrote the Foreword and contributed to the 2005 book “The Annals of Churchtown” which is an encyclopaedia of Churchtown. The book was published by the Churchtown Village Renewal Trust; a charitable organisation founded by Gerry now called Churchtown Heritage Society. 2014
Orpen Press published “The Accidental Entrepreneur: How We Turned €3,749 into a €100 million business in Three Years” which tells the story of how Gerry moved from a bank job to become an entrepreneur. The first half deals mainly with his background and his journey towards the establishment and sale of of Great Gas Petroleum (Ireland) Plc. The second half of the book is a ‘how–to’ guide for budding entrepreneurs, featuring case studies and checklists. This book is available to download free from this website.

2016
Published and co-edited with John Murphy a 40 page booklet on William Murphy – The Weight Thrower. Reissued and expanded to 64 pages in 2019. This booklet is available to download free from this website.

2017
(1) Edited and published 254 page “Anthology” – a collection of the writings of John Murphy. This book is available to download free from this website.

(2) Edited 20 page booklet entitled “The Churches of Churchtown”.

2018
Compiled and edited a 44 page booklet entitled “In Memoriam” for the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day and the end of WW1.  Booklet dedicated to the ten men from Churchtown & Liscarroll who died n WW1. This booklet is available to download free from this website.

2019

Compiled and edited a 92 page booklet entitled “Faith of our Fathers” to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of St Nicholas’ Church in Churchtown. This booklet is available to download free from this website.
